Michael Smith (born 18 September 1990) is an English professional darts player playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He is the 2013 PDC Under-21 World Champion and has since won several titles on the PDC Pro Tour. After reaching two PDC World Darts Championship finals in 2019 and 2022, he won the tournament for the first time in 2023. The win also made him world No. 1 for the first time. He provided one, if not the greatest sporting moment in humankind history when he achieved a 9 darter in the 2023 PDC World Darts Championship final after his opponent Michael van Gerwen also had a dart for a 9 darter in the same leg.
