At the end of the 21st century, the discovery of a new energy source called "DG energy" (short for "divine grace energy") has revolutionized Earth's economy and allowed humanity to colonize space. However, when the initial expedition reaches Pluto, they are attacked by a mysterious, giant life-form known as "Nergal."The Earth Alliance Army fights back by creating an "AG Unit" using ancient robot weapons known as the "G's Frame" which were excavated from archaeological sites all around the world. Girls with special qualities known as "Ancient Girls" can pilot these robots against the Nergal. However, the first AG Unit suffers heavy casualties in the Jupiter Trojan campaign, and the pilot of Unit 04, Minamiya Reiu, goes missing-in-action...Years later, Minamiya Reika, the younger sister of Reiu, enlists with the AG Unit to search for her sister and to protect the Earth from the Nergal. A story of friendship, ancient robot weapons, and battles to the death with the Nergal ensues.

Copycats was a children's game show that aired on the CBBC Channel from 23 November 2009 to 6 March 2012 and was presented by Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes. It involves two family teams, each of six contestants, battling against each other in a series of games. Each episode consists of a number of rounds. Three of the rounds are based on Chinese whispers. These alternate with physical challenges, which vary from episode to episode.

The television serial was based on a legendary folk tale, involving a snake spirit and her male human lover, but was adapted in this version to include the presence of a black snake who is the snake spirit's mentor and the White Snake Spirit being trapped under the pagoda for 20 years, when in the original tale she was trapped under the tower for centuries. As for the green snake, the white snake imprisons her for a short time before releasing her, unlike the original where she imprisoned her for three centuries. Xu Xian is also initially a good-for-nothing who, under the white snake's guidance, becomes an official.
