Cardiac surgery is one of the most demanding and difficult forms of surgery, and it's not as lucrative as other medical careers, so when Lee Eun Seung and Nam Hye Suk are the only applicants to apply for a residency, they are accepted easily. Dr. Choi Kang Gook, the new head of Cardiovascular Surgery, has his doubts. Eun Seung has always dreamed of becoming a great cardiac specialist, but as an orphan coming from a small-town medical school, his skills are basic. Hye Suk, on the other hand, graduated from an elite medical school with top marks, but possesses an inflexible personality. Gradually, as they work together, a mutual respect dawns, and Eun Seung begins to be attracted to Hye Suk. Lads' Army was a British reality TV programme, specifically of the kind that constitutes a historically derived social experiment – other examples being The 1900 House and The Frontier House. Shown on ITV, Bad Lads Army is based on the premise of subjecting today's delinquent young men to the conditions of conscripts to British Army National Service of the 1950s to see if this could rehabilitate them. The programme was derived from an earlier one called simply Lads Army in which a number of volunteers underwent four weeks of basic training for 1950s National Service. Unlike the three sequel series, the original programme's experiment was merely to see if members of the modern British public could cope with the 1950s training, and how they compared to the public of that period. The success of the original series led to the experiment being repeated with the recruits being petty criminals, often given the option to undergo the training by courts as an alternative to serving pending sentences, to explore the proposition that it would be beneficial to reinstate National Service for petty criminals and delinquents as an alternative to more conventional sentences.

Podnebesnaya was a musical production company organized by producer Ivan Shapovalov. The project for Podnebensaya, with the same title, began in 2003 in Moscow, Russia. The main purpose of the production was to produce t.A.T.u.'s second studio album, however after a falling-out with Ivan, such production was ended. Shapovalov continued to work with other Russian artists including 7B, Helya, Ledokol, FlyDream and n.A.T.o.. A CD was released of this project in 2004, after t.A.T.u. split from Shapovalov. The CD was titled Podnebesnaya No. 1, and only featured one song by t.A.T.u., although the release capatalized on the fact that it was made during the reality show.
